As part of a 2000 revitalization of Times Square, Ryder completed a $21 million historic restoration of an 1890 theatre to house the Roundabout Theatre Company ‘s American Airlines Theater.
Awarded by N.Y. Construction News as the Best of 2000 Restoration Project, the project consisted of the restoration and modernization of the existing theatre structure as well as a new two story addition consisting of a Penthouse Reception/Banquet facility, and VIP lounge. The project also entailed a six story addition connected to the rear of the theatre structure, housing dressing rooms, restrooms, and elevators.
